Nuccio Park, Hillsborough County, Florida.
Earth Resources was responsible for delineating the wetlands and preparing a wetland enhancement plan for this 8-acre park.
78th Street Sports Complex, Hillsborough County, Florida.
This Hillsborough County project involves the construction of a 100-acre active use park in the Progress Village community. Earth Resources was responsible for wetland delineation, mitigation design , preparing an upland management plan, and environmental permitting.
Lake Maude Nature Park, City of Winter Haven.
This project consists of new passive and active use parks located on Lake Maude. The project involves enhancing the on-site wetlands and shoreline of the lake to improve water quality and wildlife habitat. Other elements of the park include construction of walking trails, interpretive signage and fishing piers. Earth Resources is responsible for designing the shoreline and wetland restoration including nuisance and exotic plant species removal plan, proposed elevations based on existing hydrology, planting zones and selecting plant species to be installed. Other tasks include environmental permitting and agency coordination, wetland delineation and UMAM and mitigation monitoring.
Charles Richardson Park, Polk County, Florida.
The City of Winter Haven is proposing to construct an active-use park located adjacent to Lake Idyl. The park will be equipped with multi-purpose trails, playground, parking facilities, multi-use recreation field and fishing pier. Tasks for this project include: ArcMap GIS mapping and analysis and an ecological assessment report.
Palatlakaha Environmental and Agricultural Reserve (P.E.A.R) Park, Lake County, Florida.
P.E.A.R Park is a totals a 318-acre mixed use park consisting of 268 acres of habitat restoration, community garden, nature center and hiking and nature trails. The front 50-acres of the site is being developed into an active recreation area. Earth Resources was responsible for the wetland delineation, conducting a preliminary habitat assessment and gopher tortoise surveys.
Tampa Riverwalk, Hillsborough County, Florida.
The City of Tampa is constructing the Tampa Riverwalk, a continuous pedestrian walkway extending from the Channelside area to Tampa Heights along the east side of the Hillsborough River. It will incorporate pedestrian amenities, art and interpretive elements, retail and restaurant uses, parks and open space, and other urban amenities. Earth Resources scientists are responsible for monitoring the Hillsborough River for manatee activity during construction to prevent injury of this endangered species.
Fred Howard Park Howard Bridge Replacement, Pinellas County, Florida.
This project consists of replacing the existing bridges along the park¹s access causeway within St. Joseph Sound. Tasks include environmental permitting, preparation of a manatee protection plan, coordination with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and sovereign and submerged lands permitting.
Urban Forest Park, City of Plant City, Florida.
This is a proposed 60-acre passive use park located in Plant City. The project will conist of hiking trails with interpretative signage. Earth Resources is delineating the wetland limits and preparing a Formal Wetland Jurisdictional Determination application to obtain approval of the wetland limits from the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
